Downtown San Rafael’s longtime Vin Antica reopened as Vin in April, introducing a refreshed look and menu. Local owners Mike Heffernan and his father tapped Marin-born chefs Dan Costa and Kendall Mazet to lead the kitchen, bringing experience from top Bay Area restaurants. The menu leans seasonal and inventive, with shared plates like shrimp toast with tom yum and chili sauce, kampachi crudo and pork chop with cannellini beans and burnt fennel. A modern cocktail program and updated dining room round out the transformation.
