November 2025 Update: Larkspur’s 64-year-old dive bar and longtime late-night gathering spot has been closed since May after a car crashed into the back of the building and caused significant structural damage. Owner Rebel Lee, who purchased the bar in 2015 after more than a decade behind the counter, says the building at 450 Magnolia Ave. is now in the process of being sold. He is working with attorneys to preserve the Silver Peso’s lease and hopes to maintain its legacy. Updates on the bar’s reopening timeline will be posted on the Silver Peso Facebook page as more information becomes available.
