Sapori Ristorante is owned by chef Jaime Wence and his wife, Esther, who relocated from Isleton in the Sacramento River Delta, where they operate Manny’s Barzzeria. The all-day menu centers on familiar standards including antipasti, pastas, pizzas and calzones, with dishes ranging from lasagna and fiocchi in gorgonzola sauce to seafood preparations like linguine with prawns and clams. Pizzas follow a California-style approach with a slightly sweet dough, and any can be made into a calzone. Jaime’s background includes early training in his family’s restaurants and years refining Italian recipes.xx
