In 1980, brothers Domenico and Paolo Petrone moved to Marin County from the Calabria region in southern Italy and opened Piazza D’Angelo. Today, the family tradition continues at the downtown Mill Valley trattoria as Paolo’s son, Luigi, carries on the legacy with a variety of fresh pastas, wood-fired pizzas, antipasti, fresh fish, prime meats, a signature tiramisu and the recent addition of Italian-inspired takeout sandwiches.
