Owned and operated by a Sherpa family from Nepal’s remote Rolwaling Valley, Himalayan Kitchen brings the region’s flavors to San Rafael. The menu highlights authentic Nepalese cuisine made from scratch, using fresh ingredients and house-blended spices.
Co-owner and head chef Nawang Sherpa, who summited Mt. Everest in 1998, has spent more than two decades in the restaurant industry, crafting dishes rooted in the warmth and traditions of his homeland. The restaurant reflects this heritage through its food, ambiance and music.
