Tomato Basil Strata: A Make-Ahead Egg Casserole

If you’re looking for a crowd pleasing, make-ahead breakfast recipe for your 4th of July festivities, this strata is it. (I’ll  post the Sausage Veggie version this weekend.) Egg casseroles can be overly dry or ultra eggy, but these are more like a frittata and are full of flavor.

Blueberry Muffins

In my first post, I share my make-it-simple cooking philosophy and emphasize that enjoying great food doesn’t have to be a laborious process.

Easter Bunny Cake

Easter Bunny Cake - Version 3_opt-1Easter is the crafty holiday – dyed eggs, decorated baskets and of course, bunny cake. Above is my version…not a beauty but it fits the classic genre. And underneath the fluffy frosted exterior, it’s simply a chocolate layer cake on its side so it should please all ages. I omit the step of covering the frosting with coconut since my kids don’t like it, but for presentation purposes, I suppose that would give it an edge. Continue reading
