I stopped by the newly opened Farm House Local Cafe last week. I’d missed the window for lunch but will check it out soon and report back on the food. The menu, as the name suggests, is based on local, seasonal ingredients. The lunch special this particular day was Dungeness Crab and Avocado Omelette with Cilantro and for dessert, a Sweet Cheese Cheesecake with Saffron Poached Pear and Blood Orange Reduction. They serve breakfast and lunch daily and brunch on Sundays and soon will offer take-away dinners.
The atmosphere is clean and rustic. In keeping with the local theme, the handcrafted reclaimed wood table tops are from Heritage Salvage and come from locally recycled decking.
The outdoor space is less cramped than when Ward Street Cafe was in this location.
I look forward to returning. In the meantime, if you’ve been, please share your experience in the comments section.
